But behind the scenes, Bruno is abusive, and his outbursts have been increasing as Yenan fails to become pregnant with a much-wanted second child. After years of silence, Yenan slowly comes to realize that the cycle of violence must be broken, as she accepts her fears and finds the strength to look truth in the face.
