Les bandits détruisent les ranchs à l'aide de dynamite et ne laisse que mort et désolation derrière eux. Dans un ranch dont il ne reste que des ruines fumantes, Red Ryder trouve la marque de El Conejo, un bandit considéré par la population comme un "Robin des Bois". Red Ryder réussit à le capturer, mais El Conejo nie sa culpabilité et accuse Ace Hanlon, un citoyen respecté de tous.
