Also, her relationship with her mother worsens with each passing year, becoming more and more unbearable. Eva only visits her mother once and a while, and usually, only when she needs money. During one of her visits, Eva overhears a phone call between her stepfather and a Business associate. On Ascension Day, a "hot" business deal is to be transacted at the house while Eva’s mother is out with Michael’s two daughters.
